Paycheck to Paycheck is an inspiring tribute to the working class and a global kind of patriotic book which motivates and sends a supportive message straight to the heart of millions. Whether we envision our parents, their roots, blood, sweat and tears or our own pathways of labor to date, the reader feels connected. Living from paycheck to paycheck is a way of life for many people, some by choice, some by necessity. "Money makes the world go 'round." But the author astutely and poignantly points out that, "money isn't everything." In a world of continued economic flux, one thing remains almost certain. Paychecks will come and go. Everywhere the author goes, we seem to travel there too, momentarily. "Whether in a home or on the streets of Indiana, from the beauty shops to the corner candy store." citizens talk while the author and reader listens. Paycheck to Paycheck, truly a spirited voice for the past, present and centuries to come.

In both European and western countries there is a significant number of research institutes that study such problems as: "unsettled democracy", "loosened democracy", "controlled democracy" and "unguided democracy". They only examine the top, so to speak, "iceberg of Democracy", overlooking the main part: the "underwater part of democracy", the "warm" and "cold" current, the "invisible forces of democracy". The research institutes prescribe how to treat our and your Democracy. They suggest a specific "Democracy Mixture" which, in my point of view, can be used only in diluted form. The reader might ask the question: Which part is missing in the "Theory of Democracy"? That is, let's say, a small three-volume book in leather binding does not exist: Volume I - The Economics of the Legislative Power Branch Volume II - The Economics of the Executive Power Branch Volume III - The Economics of the Judicial Power Branch Having such a three-volume book, we would realize what is the economic essence of the state power sphere. But today, as of this moment, we are in a sticky situation. The state power sphere has its headquarters, but the economic theory of the state power sphere is missing.

The author investigates the economy of the Internet sphere through the prism of complex numbers. These quantities introduce something fresh and pure in economic calculations and the logic of a new economy. With complex numbers the economic theory of the Internet sphere becomes more attractive and convenient. They require a careful treatment. Here we have specific arithmetic and algebra.

The analysis of the economic parameters of the Intellectual Sphere in the USA, European countries and Japan, shows that this sector came close to the economic parameters of the Material Sphere. In the Intellectual Sphere, millions of people and billions of US dollars are involved. Is the index for the Intellectual Sphere is absent to this day? The absence of the exchange index in the Intellectual Sphere of the USA and other economically developed countries has a negative effect on everything. It is difficult to talk definitely about the tendencies on the market of informational and entertainment services., Today, it is imperative that we create the stock exchange index for the Intellectual Sphere which would resemble that of the Dow-Jones index. But, for the exchange index of the Intellectual Sphere, I suggest using another logic that differs from that logic used in 1897. Firstly, at creating the stock exchange index (SEI) of the intellectual sphere, I proceed from the fact that the intellectual sphere represents the economic system, the resources of which are moving in economic space. Secondary, indexes should be of two kinds for intellectual values and intellectual services.

So you’ve just come up with a new ad campaign. Love the spots! Too bad no one will ever see them—even worse—too bad no one cares! Why is it that so much of that stuff we immediately recognize as “advertising” is so bad? It’s not just bad—well—it sucks. The reason: even though it’s 2010, most ad agencies and the practitioners who run them are still doing things the same way as Don Draper and the guys from Sterling Cooper on Mad Men, the hit AMC series that depicts Madison Avenue in the ‘60s. The problem today? Gone are the chain-smoking, bourbon-slugging, secretary-assaulting “ad men” of the ‘60s. Newspapers and radio are dying. Commercial TV is losing its audience to subscription-based content. Today’s consumer of advertising content is mobile, prepared to DVR through commercials, and watch content on their terms online, on a hand-held device, or a Smartphone. In Pay No Attention to that Man behind the Curtain, Patrick Griffin and Kevin Flynn dissect mass media advertising at an historic crossroads and explain what no longer works. Through real-world examples and biting humor, they show how to market in ways that are both creative and smart.

How 22 young people raised $42,000 to pay for a trip to the People's Republic of China in 1979 is just one secret that Ruth Pennington Paget shares in China Hand: From the Great Wall to Olive Ball & Beyond. Paget's three-week tour prepared her to sell sponsorships and coordinate public relations for the first Super Bowl shown in China in 1986. Her chapters about studying Chinese art and society at the University of Chicago reveal how the Chinese view the world and the infrastructure of China's economic success. Paget's knowledge of Chinese bronze vessels created her first opportunities to write about art, and her late-found love for Chinese food helped her become a restaurant reviewer for two years. Throughout China Hand Paget shows how to benefit culturally and economically from learning Chinese thought. Praise for China Hand: From the Great Wall to Olive Ball & Beyond I anxiously looked forward to the next page when I read China Hand. It reminds me of so many things in China, and it touched my heart. -Jie Judy Zhu, Professor, Defense Language Institute
