COOKING - Jewish & Kosher

Sort By: Products per Page:
By Sylvia K. Kossak, David Kossak, Karen Aspler

Sylvia Kossak lived for 90 years. Over that period of time she shared stories of her and her husband, Willies, delicatessen. This was a great and successful time in there lives.

As they shared stories, one could taste and smell the foods that they described. My sister, Karen was alive during that period of time and has fond memories. When pickles came in barrels instead of glass containers. When bagels were prepared by boiling instead of baking. Lox, Nova, herring and smoked white fish line the refrigerated show case. Where you took a number but everyone new your name.

Let these receipes bring you back to that lost era. My biggest regret was that I did not get to experience that time of my parents' lives. However, with Karen's discovery of these lost receipes, I get to have a taste of my mother and fathers memory. We hope all of you will enjoy.
