Consider special people Who love you, and who care, And others who’ve enriched your life, Just by being there. Think about the memories Passing years can never mar, Experiences great and small That have made you who you are. Another year is a happy gift, So cut your cake, and say, "Instead of counting birthdays, I count blessings every day!" Professional writer Joanna Fuchs, who writes “nonfiction, fiction, business copy, anything and everything,” has been creating poems for greeting cards since she was eight years old, “for family and friends.” Her husband, Karl Fuchs, a mechanical engineer, started writing love poems for Joanna and branched out from there. They live on “a little piece of paradise” in North Idaho, watching the wild turkeys and squirrels beat the birds to the birdseed and wishing the beautiful but hungry deer wouldn’t eat just about everything in their garden.
