The whimsical poems in Romantic Life of Toast are bound to make you smile as you recognize human nature in everyday things. Peter Letendre has written a collection of 68 eclectic poems that illustrate the secret lives of the inanimate objects that surround us. What if the bookcase, fry pan, mirror, mouthwash, picture frame, remote control, and toilet paper could talk? These humorous poems reveal all.
Romantic Life of Toast is the second poetry book published by Peter A. Letendre. The first, If I Could Be A Doughnut, was an illustrated book of comical children's poems. Born in England, Peter studied English literature and history and obtained a BA from the University of Winnipeg. He is a member of the Writers Guild of Alberta and League of Canadian Poets. His poems have appeared in Grain and on-line magazines. He lives in Edmonton with his wife Patricia. Information on his current and upcoming books can be found at palwrite.com.
