"........... It was all I could do just to get up in the morning.Every joint and muscle in my body ached. I remember walking down to the kitchen one afternoon having no idea whatsoever who I was or where I was. After almost twenty years of living alone, I was afraid to live alone. Eventually, I couldn't get out of bed except to eat and use the washroom. That alone took all the strength I had. I couldn't hold a simple conversation........in 2007,at the age of 43, I thought I was going to die."
Ms. Butcher worked as a Lab Technician in various hospitals and laboratories. She is an avid cook when she feels up to it, and in 2005 she published a small cookbook. Ms. Butcher lives in her hometown of Elgin, Il.
